Strength is all around you....

One evening me and my father were taking a walk together(When I was 10 years old).
There was a big stone a little ahead. Papa decided to test his daughter's strength and tasked
 her with lifting the stone.

Well, the stone was a little too big for me.I tried everything, all possible stance,
all possible angles!but could not move the stone. After tussling with the stone for some
more time I finally gave up.

With a look of despair on my face,I told my father, I failed.

Papa asked, "Daughter, did you use all your strength ?"
I gave him a bemused look.I was certain that even my father knew this fact that I had put in all I had, trying to
lift that stone.

Once again he asked "Are you sure you used all your strength ?"
Again I nodded confidently.

My father bent down and said, "You forgot to use your biggest strength, me."
This time I tried lifting the stone with my father's help and, it was no longer heavy.
I learnt a big lesson that day.

"Strength is all around you. Its you who needs to identify it, acknowledge it and tap into it.
If you do that, there will be no hurdle which cannot be crossed."

A rainbow makes a brand new slate....

Broken.....

As I stare into this broken mirror, I see

The image of a broken me
Of a person shattered, torn and thrown out,
Hoping for goodness to come about

My eyes search earnestly
For the good they wish to see
But they are destined to be disappointed
How'd this world get so disconnected?

My hands eagerly search for something,
Anything real to tightly cling,
But as they dig for deep foundation,
The shallowness comes out from the complacent

Tears roll down as I give up hope

My broken soul clinging to a fraying rope
My fingers finally letting go
My surroundings pass me all too slow

I fade into the darkness, the dim
I hope to never see it again
But there I am, to my surprise
Waking up with brand new eyes

For the first time in my broken life,
I see colour in the world, not strife,
I see hope, not pain; Love, not hate,
A rainbow makes a brand new slate!!

One More Independence Day!!

One More Independence Day!!

Things have changed now and the way we used to celebrate our independence day.

Swatantra Diwas reminds me of my childhood days,how we used to celebrate this auspicious day.Thinking what to do special on this special day, a weeks before.Asking my Papa and Ma a dozen questions about why ,when and how. My enthusiasm to participate in inter school dance competition,putting all efforts to be the best,forgetting for a while about studies aneverything.And of course how could I forget the fight between our dance teacher and music teacher,they used to fight among st themselves to select me in their team(Celebrity feeling hahaha).But somehow I managed to be in both the teams every time.Singing patriotic song with full energy in our assembly time,holding Motichoor ke Ladoo and a big packet of toffee on our way back to home.
Few of my friends will even try to get two packets of chocolates by standing in the Que two times, these are funny memories we never forget.

The Celebration does not end here, our gang used to gather at my place and would celebrate Independence day on our own way, eating Galebi, dancing on patriotic song
and goofing up all day.

Childhood memories are always the best!!

Friends......

There are people whom you like and there are people who likes you but friends share a bond made of love, affection, understanding and beads of beautiful memories.
Even our enemies distance, misunderstanding and pain are unable to break this bond.

Every difficulty seems to be an easy ride if your BFF is with you!!

Everyone has a story to tell, but how often do you find someone to listen to yours?

If you have a true friend, problem solved.
They listen to you unconditionally.

Happiness is having a caring and loving Mom....

       Dear Mom,

Whenever I start with you ,it seems like a whole book to write but always verklempt. I do not know from where to start and how to express my love for you. But this time somehow I decided that I will write because life is unpredictable and you never know what is going to happen next.

I           Iam not going to write big words for you but simply I cannot imagine my life without you .
You are a perfect example of true friend, you made me stand against all the odds of my life, guided me throughout my life and never the less how to be in win win situation every time. What I have learned from you is that being a parent is all about being responsible for introducing your kid to the world around them.
A good parent curates reality for their children. They gather up all the good stuff –all the knowledge, opportunity and existential wonderfulness.

You always made me know that I would be ok and not with magical thinking or waiting for miracles. Instead you said I would find a way to find a way. Because you believed that I would succeed, I began to believe it too.

You are the most beautiful, kind, generous, loving and let’s not forget strongest person I ever met and the best part is that you are my mom. I am so proud to be your daughter!!!
